Louisville, Kentucky
FRIENDLY HILLS EAST
Neighborhood Association
About Us...
Friendly Hills East is a deed restricted neighborhood located north of I-265 exit 14 in south-central Louisville, Kentucky. See the boundary map below for the properties included in the Friendly Hill East Neighborhood Association. The Neighborhood Council is the governing body responsible for operating the association. They are unpaid volunteers who donate their time for service and are elected by a vote of the association members.
The council is given the responsibility of setting the association's policies, standards, programs, and annual budget. While these duties provide the council significant authority, members have the opportunity of participating in the decision-making process through voting in council elections, serving on any special committees required by the bylaws, and by providing input at association meetings. The bylaws of the association more clearly define the role and responsibility of the council as a whole as well as the individual councilpersons.
Many associations have difficulty finding owners willing to serve on their council or board. Those members who really care about their community and fellow residents should take the time to serve. After all, the best way to stay involved with your association is by taking a leadership role.
